Tibetan Herbal Medicine

Reflex Point(Earthing)

In contrary to the commonly known Reflexology which is basically associated with a soothing foot massage, Reflex Point treatment involves a technique which brings out the blocked points that intends to earthen the body and therefore also called as Earthing. Moxabustion

Moxabustion is a traditional Tibetan medical technique involving the burning of mugwort(Artemesia), called as ‘Tzawa’ in Tibetan to facilitate heating. Moxabustion has been used throughout Asia for thousands of years: to strengthen the blood circulation and Qi, support the flow of Yin(water, earth) energy and to maintain general Yin health.

Painosology

In order to find the original causes of pains, Dr. Passang believes that the pain points where the patients complain of pain may not be the cause of the problem but mostly that is a shadow of the cause. Therefore Painosology is the technique to search for the original cause in order to treat the root problem. This therapeutic technique descents from a secret part of ancient Tibetan medicine that was practiced in royal family and monasteries.

Cupping

Cupping can remove blockage along the meridian and large area points on the body. Cupping directly effect the acupoints along the meridians to remove stagnation of Qi, blockage of the blood or phlegm, maintain better flow of Qi and blood, movement to take care chronic unbalances.

Acupuncture

The Universal life energy or Qi, present in every living creature circulates throughout the body along the pathway of meridians. Qi is generated from the vabration of the five elements. As long as this energy flows freely throughout the meridians, body is healthy but when there is flow of pathogenic energy that causes blockage in the body, the system is disrupted, pain and illness occur. Acupuncture needles when inserted at the acupoints, it helps restore normal functions and free up the blockage from the pathogenic Qi. (Meridians are like the battery of the computer and acupoints as their charger)
